Interested in helping the Alliance to ensure academic success for all students in the town of Greenwich? How about joining in one of our upcoming events? We have lots of opportunities for everyone in Greenwich to get involved in supporting our mission, whether as a donor, volunteer, sponsor or participant!
Due to the current COVID pandemic, some of our annual events are in a state of flux – keep checking back for updates.
Children’s Book Drive: TBD
In conjunction with Greenwich Reads Together, the Alliance collects new or gently used books to give away to the children in the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich after school program. Thank you to everyone who generously donated to last year’s drive.
Annual Appeal: Fall 2020
The Alliance relies on private donations as one of its primary sources of funding. Each fall we conduct our Annual Appeal; please consider donating and helping to support our programs: Reaching Out Grants, Early Literacy, Tuning In To Music and Scholarship Fund.
10th ANNUAL Turkey Trot: NOVEMBER 2020
Always a great family event and major Alliance fundraiser. This year’s annual Thanksgiving weekend tradition was reimagined as a month long Fitness Challenge! Participants ran/walked/biked/worked out during the month of November in support of the Alliance. Many thanks to all our Sponsors, Supporters and Participants for making this reimagined event a success.
VIRTUAL Trivia Challenge: March 19, 2021
The Alliance’s largest fundraiser went virtual this year – same great event, just via Zoom, with six rounds of trivia (curated by local Jeopardy winner and former board member, Christine Kim), an on-line silent auction and paddle raise for our Scholarship Fund! Thanks to participation by 32 teams, we raised over $55,000 and met the $25,000 match for the Scholarship Fund.
Fairfield County’s Giving Day: February 25, 2021
Each year the Alliance participates in FC Giving Day, a 24-hour on-line fundraising challenge. Since all gifts of $10 or more count towards prize money, this is a great opportunity for teachers, administrators, recent graduates and other community members to support the Alliance.
