Developing Artist Grant: Eastern Middle School 6th grade students, with the help of visiting environmental artists Willie Cole and Alejandro Duran, created a peace sign made of seashells, plastic pollution and discarded items collected from Tod’s Point.

Professional Development

Our grant funds have inspired many educators to grow professionally through attendance at conferences held both locally and around the country. Teachers come back and enthusiastically share what they have learned with their colleagues and their students to improve educational outcomes for all.

Theater Arts

Theater Arts at New Lebanon and Julian Curtiss schools allows student to explore their passion for theater, build confidence and improve language skills. Unbound Innovations XR

Making a substantial investment in virtual reality/augmented reality technology & software has allowed Western Middle School to integrate these innovative and immersive experiences across curriculums. Students from around the district can explore the VR Universe through a summer STEM camp.
