September 25, all day
Greenwich Alliance for Education is 20 years old! We kicked off our 20th anniversary celebration with a proclamation from First Selectman Fred Camillo naming September 25, 2026 as Greenwich Alliance Day in the town of Greenwich.
During the day all Greenwich Public School students participated in a district-wide act activity showcasing the Alliance’s 20-year commitment to the arts. With creative direction from GPS art teachers, students created thousands of pieces from cougar teeth and paw prints to tiles, bricks, cabochons and AVID figures. Together these art pieces will be used to construct a nine-foot mosaic column, telling the Greenwich Alliance story and what we can create together.
Thanks to the Developing Artist Program for bringing these pieces together to create the column – stay tuned to find out where the column will be displayed after completion.
Thank you Upper Crust Bagel! Rob Guerrieri and his team got up very early to bake 98 dozen bagels as a thank you to GPS educators for 20 years of partnership.
And thank you to all GPS administrators, teachers, PTAs, volunteers and community friends for helping to make the celebration so special!
