Empowering Future Innovators: Robotics & Science Teams

Each year the U.S. Dept. of Energy sponsors the National Science Bowl (NSB) competition for middle and high school students throughout each state. This year, Greenwich sent the most teams to the Middle School Regional Bowl making up an impressive 33% of the competition. 

The Science Bowl Team is an incredible opportunity for students to explore their STEM curiosities and interests as they work collaboratively with teammates in a fun-filled productive setting.   Although academic prowess plays an important part in the competition, every student brings their own unique strength to the team.  The Science Team accommodates all students at every level to participate. 

Middle School Robotics expansion during 2026-2027 creates a unified middle school robotics pathway across Greenwich Public Schools. Each middle school will host afterschool sessions to expose students to engineering and coding through structured hands-on learning and team-based robot design. 

At the end of each session, Greenwich High School will host a district-wide Sumo Bot Competition, bringing together students from Eastern, Central and Western Middle Schools. This event will provide students with a structured competitive experience, foster collaboration across schools, and create an inspiring bridge to the high school robotics program.
