SEPTEMBER 2025

Hi Friends,

Starting a new school year is always an exciting time and it is for us at the Greenwich Alliance for Education, too.  Our summer was very productive and busy!  We awarded $83,750 in AVID SUCCESS Scholarships, hosted our third Transition to College Workshop series, sponsored an XR Summer STEM Camp and College Essay Writing Sessions, funded AVID professional development for Hamilton Avenue teachers, and presented to the talented Greenwich Public Schools' Leadership Team.

As we begin the 19th year as the school’s education foundation, we have an updated mission statement to better reflect our focus and the work we have been doing with the educators, students and families in the community since 2006.

"To advance student success by funding innovative programs that promote educational excellence and equitable opportunities for Greenwich public school students."

Start training for the Turkey Trot and learn a lot this year!

Developing Artist Program - ART06870

Developing Artist Program (DAP) is an ongoing grant program which started at Eastern Middle School in 2016 and then expanded to CMS and WMS.  Today, DAP continues to bring professional studio artists to create with students in our schools. A fundraiser in support of this program will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 - more details to follow.  In the meantime, we are putting out a call to artists who would like to submit their artwork for display at the fundraiser.
