New Lebanon School and Western Middle School were proud to present their second annual Westside One Acts festival this past week.
Fourth and fifth graders from New Lebanon School participated in a playwriting workshop afters led by ALP teacher, Carol Pugliano. The plays were then passed on to Western Middle School math teacher and Theatre Director, Johanna Kolar, and 10 plays were selected to move to the next phase.
The middle school students then got to work on directing and practicing the plays. Many made costumes and props to go along with their performance.
The project culminated in a joyful celebration of writing and performances at New Lebanon School to an audience of supporting friends and family.
The playwriting workshop and the festival were made possible by a generous grant from the Greenwich Alliance for Education.
