Hi Friends, Spring has sprung and it’s great to be moving forward! Let me begin by saying THANK YOU. Our fun, virtual Trivia Challenge on Friday night raised over $50K, thanks to friends and family from around the world! We had a great time and were able to meet the $25,000 donor match for the Greenwich Alliance Scholarship Fund! Prizes were awarded to the top two teams with the most points and to the best team name. The best team name was Quarantini - Shaken, Not Stirred - congrats GPS principals! A list of teams and scores and photos are available on the website. In case you missed it, click here to view 4-minute video shown during the event. Local restaurants, merchants and community members REALLY STEPPED UP! Click here to view our supporters and let's make a point to thank and frequent these businesses. Tuning In To Music ("TITM") students will perform for a final virtual recital in April, two months earlier than previous years. One-to-one private lessons for 63 students over Skype have absorbed our budget for this program. For many students, the TITM virtual lessons have been the only music instruction received this year due to mandatory COVID protocols. If this tugs at your heartstrings, we welcome donations to extend the current TITM program through June. See the letter from Ken Kuo, President CT School of Music below. It puts a smile on my face to see the crocuses in bloom on the hill by my office. Your Support, Spring and Innovation have us rolling forward with momentum! With many thanks & smiles, |
