GHS Counseling Department is excited to partner with the Greenwich Alliance for Education to offer a 3-day college admissions bootcamp this August, called "Camp College". This bootcamp serves as a fundraiser for the Greenwich Alliance for Education. The Alliance mobilizes community resources to provide opportunities that foster educational success for all Greenwich Public School students and we are grateful for their partnership!
During Camp College, Counselors, Mrs. Lochridge, admissions representatives, and English teachers will work with rising seniors to help complete their Common Application, prepare for electronic submission of school documents, fine-tune college essays & supplements, review GHS admissions policies and procedures, and more. This is a great time and way to make a significant dent in the application process before the school year ramps up.
Camp College will be held in person at the GHS Media Center on these dates:
CAMP COLLEGE DATES (3 days):
Monday through Wednesday, August 10-12 from 8:30am to 2:30pm
The fee for the 3 days (total of 18 hours) is $450 and lunch will be provided daily. Scholarships are available for students with demonstrated financial need. Before registering, please speak with your school counselor if you think you may qualify to get a workshop discount code.
Registration is on a first come first served basis. Registration will close when we reach our maximum capacity of 75 students.
To get the most out of the workshop, students will be expected to attend all 3 days. If, for some reason, you must miss a day, you will still be responsible for the full registration fee.
